How the sale works
- List free at geardepot.com/sell — structured condition grading, photos, and specs; no account needed until you post.
- Every listing must meet the marketplace's publishing requirements before it can go live. Most listings publish immediately; imported and freight listings are always checked by staff first, and GearDepot reviews listings and can hold or remove anything that falls short.
- The buyer pays the platform at checkout — the money is captured and held, never a promise of payment.
- After delivery, the buyer has a 72-hour inspection window; your payout releases to your verified bank account on approval or when the window closes without a dispute.
- Creating a listing is free. When an item sells, GearDepot charges 5% of the item subtotal (minimum $5, capped at $750). Shipping is excluded from the fee. New accounts pay no marketplace transaction fee for their first 30 days.
Shipping and freight
Powered speakers and amps usually move as parcels with labels bought right on the order. Full rigs, subwoofer stacks, and racked systems can ship by freight — quoted in-house on the order — or sell for local pickup.
