- Every listing must meet the marketplace's publishing requirements before it can go live. Most listings publish immediately; imported and freight listings are always checked by staff first, and GearDepot reviews listings and can hold or remove anything that falls short.
- The buyer pays the platform at checkout — the money is captured by the platform, never a promise of payment.
- Proven sellers are paid at the first carrier scan and new sellers at delivery — to your verified bank account — while the buyer keeps an inspection window backed by the platform.
- Creating a listing is free. When an item sells, GearDepot charges 5% of the item subtotal (minimum $5, capped at $750). Shipping is excluded from the fee. New accounts pay no marketplace transaction fee on anything that sells in their first 30 days — imported listings included.
Shipping and freight
Powered speakers and amps usually move as parcels with labels bought right on the order. Full rigs, subwoofer stacks, and racked systems can ship by freight — quoted in-house on the order — or sell for local pickup.

How do buyers know my speakers work?
You grade condition on function and cosmetics and photograph the actual units. After delivery the buyer has an inspection window before your payout releases — structural protection a classifieds post can't offer.
What does selling a PA system cost?
