Sending and responding to offers

How offers work on a listing.

Making an offer

Where a seller accepts offers, you can propose a price from the listing. The seller can accept, decline, or counter.

An accepted offer does not reserve the item

Listings are first-payment-wins. An accepted offer means the seller has agreed to your price — it does not hold the item for you. Complete the payment to secure it.

Messaging rules

Keep the conversation on Gear Depot. Before checkout, do not exchange phone numbers, email addresses, social handles, external marketplace links, or direct-payment requests. These rules exist because off-platform deals have no payout hold, no inspection window, and no dispute process — and breaking them can restrict your account.
