Importing existing listings
Moving inventory you already have listed elsewhere.
Bringing inventory across
Gear Depot can import listings you already have elsewhere so you do not retype your catalog. Start from the import option in your store, and choose which of the discovered items to bring across.
Review BEFORE you import, not after
Imported items are created through the ordinary listing path, so they follow the ordinary publishing rules — an imported listing can go live immediately. Do not treat the import as a staging area.
Check each item before you select it:
- Confirm the condition still describes the item accurately today.
- Check the price — a listing that sat on another platform may be stale.
- Confirm the photos came across, and that none of them carry contact details.
- Fill in package dimensions and weight, which other platforms often do not
provide and which shipping quotes depend on.
Items that need attention
Rows that could not be imported cleanly are flagged with the reason, and are not created until you resolve them. A common one is a listing with no usable photo — every Gear Depot listing needs at least one.
